Geylang East Home for the Aged (GEHA) is a non-profit organization founded in December 1978 as a voluntary welfare organization providing quality care for the seniors. GEHA is a registered society under the Registry of Societies, a registered Charity, and an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC Number: 000389) under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). Located in the community of Aljunied Crescent, our eldercare services include Sheltered Home, Senior Care Centre and Harmony Activity Centre (SAC).

We sincerely appeal for your support, so that we can continue to provide quality care and support to our senior beneficiaries to allow them to age actively and healthily in place.

TYPES OF DONATIONS

MEAL DONATION

GEHA provides 4 meals a day for 365 days a year for close to 80 seniors. We outsourced our lunch and dinner to certified caterers who ensured good quality and hygiene. Thus, this increased GEHA’s expenditure on meals for our seniors. 

During weekends, it would be good for our Sheltered Home residents to experience different variety of food, eg. bak kut teh, prawn noodles, fish soup, kway chup, chicken rice and Teochew porridge. We encourage individual / business donor(s) to bring them out for meals or provide a hearty packet meal for them in our Home.

FACILITIES DONATION

GEHA welcomes donation of mint condition equipment such as walking aids, bed frames, massage/reflexology machines, home furniture, etc. Please contact our staff at 6745 3465 to make arrangements.

MONETARY DONATION

GEHA supports multiple profile of seniors through our 4 main services. Our intent is to maintain and improve their well-being in old age through the providence of necessities, social engagements and ration distribution.

Although most of our service users are charged a nominal fee, a number of them are solely supported by GEHA. To sustain our daily operations in the Home and Centres, we need your support to enable us to better our works in caring for the aged.
